Cork is one of the most sustainable materials used in the packaging industry. Cork oak trees are not cut down to harvest cork. Instead, the bark is carefully removed by hand, allowing the tree to regenerate it naturally.

After harvesting, the tree can absorb up to five times more CO₂ than before the bark was removed, helping make the carbon balance of cork carbon-negative. In addition, cork stoppers are 100% biodegradable at the end of their useful life.
